BLURT thread
Re: BLURT thread
I went home over Labor Day weekend, and it mostly made me sad because now I miss my boyfriend more after seeing him.

Maaaaaan that is so right. When I was in college I was abused by a girl who had a "long distance" boyfriend.

Feeling a bit better.

I can't ever go home?
I'm also very confused by him, because we made out for the first time over the break (e.g. not closed-mouth kissing) and he felt awkward but said he would get used to it. I'm sure every girl dreams of a boyfriend who can get used to making out with her. I'm trying to understand (he has OCD and all sorts of weird anxieties), but if you've been going out with someone for four months it seems like more than enough time to get used to it. Meh. It's not a make-or-break the relationship issue, but it is very perplexing.

Speaking for people with issues and anxieties everywhere (not really), kissing and such is kind of awkward. Especially if you're slightly disconnected from your own body. Was he referring specifically to that? He may have just been talking about the fact that it's a long distance relationship.

Why?
The "new" you didn't like the "old" you...it told me so. I can talk to "yous" with my mind.
Anyway James said something about... 9

Re: BLURT thread
Why? Why does it matter.
Im just fed up with everything. Im fed up with feeling down at random times, which as i mentioned pretty much ruined my time in Manchester. Im fed up with being unemployed, despite the god knows how many places i've applied to other the past year. I'm fed up that im just over a month till my birthday im still in the same fucking position job wise and relationship wise as i was last year.
So yeah. The old, whiney, annoying, asshole, me is back. He might of went away for a month or two over the summer, but it was only a brief respite.

Well, I have the conversation we had over AIM:
*conversation*
The problem is that at this point it's really all just speculation as to what the hell he means, which generally isn't helpful. I also don't feel like I've come to any sort of understanding or resolution about this issue, but if it's not really a major issue I'll forget about it.

Doesn't really sound like a big deal, and I wouldn't try to keep looking for deeper meaning. Seems like he's not used to kissing, which makes him feel weird, which makes kissing more weird, etc...

Re: BLURT thread
You know, Kissing is rather awkward the first time you try something different. Be it kissing for the first time ever, the first time with someone new or, you know, going for the tongue, which is inherently sexier. I mean... it's someone else's tongue in your mouth, right? It's weird, unusual, and it makes you feel things. Good, but unusual things.
I 've laughed at the middle of a kiss, and it's not because something is wrong, but because I'm happy, excited, surprised, or I'm just thinking how odd it is that we've come to that moment. If it were because I felt wrong, I'd just stop.
Also, I think some guys try to refrain themselves, you know, in order not to scare you or something.
I must say now that JVCC has put my mind into kissing, that my current boyfriend, though he has thin lips and a small mouth, is a great kisser.
The only complain I have is that we don't get to see each other much - alone, that is, because we work in the same place, different areas. This is unusual in me... I hope I don't end up being one of those needy, jealous girls I can't stand. It seems that I have developed very strong feelings in a very short period of time and that is kind of scary, like going on a rollercoaster kind of scary. It's the first time ever I've actually felt butterflies in my stomach because of someone. "Oh, Honey, just looking at you makes me want to throw up" Is not a very romantic phrase to say, is it?
I am rambling. I need to sleep.
Good night everyone.

Re: BLURT thread
I feel better about the issue now, but I think I was justifiably dissapointed. I was really excited about the whole thing until I found out he wasn't. I tried to iniate making out within the first month of our relationship and he said he was fine with "normal kissing", but now he intiated this time and he's still not ready.

Kissing and making out are both, in my very very limited experience, very much awesome.
Of course its not like im really going to get much more experience of either anyway.... *sigh*

Re: BLURT thread
The bit that strikes me as odd is that he apparently voluntarily said to you that it felt a bit weird. Just seems a bit tactless, although the first time I did that I thought it was pretty dang awesome, so I've never had to say that. Not that it's something I'd worry about anyway, don't make too much of it.

Re: BLURT thread
Based on the bit of his personality I got from the snippet of conversation that was posted here, I'd say it's not an issue of tact so much as it is him being an incredibly literal and cerebral person. He seems not to put a lot of thought into how he's going to say something from an interpersonal standpoint, but just tries making sure he's saying it in a way that conveys exactly how he sees it. I think there's a lot to respect about that, and I can imagine it's one of the things JVCC likes about him because you can count on his honesty and on feeling like you really know him for who he is.
As far as the issue at hand, I personally think it's just kissing, and he's giving it too much thought.
