Re: BLURT thread

Well, that's too bad. Hopefully something you can shake off. I had a debrief for why I wasn't given a Vice-Principal job for next year, which was a tough conversation to have too. It's necessary to grow, but it was tough to hear what my direct supervisors had indicated were my areas of weakness and ...

Re: About that lame quiz I made a while ago

That was fun. I missed a few, somehow. Maybe it's the intervening 10 years or something. Anyway I had a lot of fun doing that, so thank you :)

Re: A little help :)

My favorite is the last one, but I think you're right about adding back the tooth. Looks fine with one too, though. I will make sure I get office approval to order new sports uniforms in September, and if I get it, I will let you know. If I do, I would love to use the last one. It would go on shirt ...

Re: A little help :)

I think I gave too strong an impression that I wanted the logo to be less intimidating. I'm totally cool with him looking badass, I just wanted it a bit less angry-badass. In either case, that might still be a good look too, but I definitely couldn't pull it off.

Re: A little help :)

I'm totally good with tough and formidable, I just wanted to make it look a bit less angry with the eyes and that has been achieved. For the rest, I'm just trying to see if there's a way to make it look different enough that it doesn't look like a total rip-off. I'm just not gifted enough to even kn...

Re: A little help :)

That looks great, the eyes were really hard for me so that's a big help :) I'm still trying to figure out how to make it look a bit different from the original without messing it up, so if you have any ideas (even just to write down if you don't have the time to try it out - again, I totally appreci...

A little help :)

Hi guys, So I'm starting a new teaching assignment next year where half of my day will be as a gym teacher (amazing!!!) and as part of that I look after all of the sports equipment and stuff. We seriously need new jerseys and our logo is old and needs to be updated. We are the bulldogs, and I really...

Re: Random Thoughts

It's funny to me that my kids are now as solid as they are with their personalities, to the point that I can see it reflected in pictures in ways I don't expect. My oldest wanted to be fancy for his first birthday party for friends from school, so I dressed his younger brother up too. Yes, the young...

Re: BLURT thread

I'd say so! I've seen some crazy ones, but even without appreciating the full effect by virtue of only being a casual foreign fan, it seems crazier than the ones I've seen here.

Re: Video Game Stuff

I am having more fun with The Division than I have with any game in the last 8-9 years. Like, crazy amounts of fun. I know I won't be playing it in 3 months, but for right now, so much fun.

As I stepped out of Algernon's still-warm body, I felt as though I would have more than enough guts to complete my mission.

Re: A whine and complain thread

Have you ever seen that experiment where they compare two people's Facebook pages to show how radically different the views to which they get exposed tend to be based on their chosen friends and the things they look at and like over time, and how that subsequently skews their baseline for how things...

Re: A whine and complain thread

There's simply no way you can't see the difference between stuff someone would joke about on here regarding their situation and stuff someone would say to a person while in that situation. If I say something about you that people have said about women, consider that perhaps I still just mean it to b...

Re: A whine and complain thread

It's not really about doing anything wrong, it's just that if you think he was seriously generalizing, he's right to be put off a bit as the comment was clearly tongue-in-cheek, and if you know he wasn't being serious then he has every right to feel like he's having the fun sapped from the part wher...

Re: A whine and complain thread

I think you should just tell her, that way the event is the fun and the fun is not contingent on surprising her or her reaction or whatever, and won't depend on her being there if you're worried she'll cancel a second consecutive time.
